Ep. 127 | I Finally Watched... The Hitchhiker’s Guide To The Galaxy
Thursday May 26, 2022
Thursday May 26, 2022
The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy (2005) isn't a direct adaptation to the books... or the radio play... or the tv show, however its a ton of fun with a great cast! And what can go wrong by starting the movie with a musical sung by dolphins! WE HAD A FAB TIME REVIEWING THIS FILM!
Thursday May 19, 2022
Ep. 126 | I Finally Watched...Gone In 60 Seconds
Thursday May 19, 2022
Thursday May 19, 2022
"A car thief is forced to steal 50 luxury vehicles in one night" sounds like the plot to Fast X, but its actually a Nicholas Cage film from 2000. Gone in 60 Seconds also stars Angelina Jolie and Robert Duvall, Timothy Olyphant is also in this. This is not a film we wanted as 30 year olds in 2022, but it is when we were 14 in 2000.
Thursday May 12, 2022
Ep. 125 | I Finally Watched... There’s Something About Mary
Thursday May 12, 2022
Thursday May 12, 2022
Which Cameron Diaz movie was your sexual awakening?? For David it was The Mask, but for 6 year old Alain, it was There's Something About Mary (1998) Starring Cameron Diaz, Ben Stiller, and Matt Dillon. There are obvious jokes that didn't hold up in this film, but we still found ourselves laughing our franks and beans off during some parts of it!
Thursday May 05, 2022
Ep. 124 | I Finally Watched... Who’s Harry Crumb?
Thursday May 05, 2022
Thursday May 05, 2022
Who's Harry Crumb? (1989) or a better question is who made this movie?? Starring John Candy, Annie Potts, and Jeffrey Jones, this film is about a detective who is very much a buffoon. This movie did not age well, I say that but looking at the ratings it got when it came out, it might have aged the same way!
Thursday Apr 28, 2022
Ep. 123 | I Finally Watched... L.A. Confidential
Thursday Apr 28, 2022
Thursday Apr 28, 2022
God I love this film! L.A. Confidential (1997) fits right into everything I love about movies; it's dark, gritty, mysterious and most importantly its crime/crime (which apparently is a genre of film) We break down the movie and talk about each of its wonderful characters! Starring
Russell Crowe; Guy Pearce; James Cromwell; David Strathairn; Kim Basinger; Danny DeVito
Thursday Apr 21, 2022
Ep. 122 | I Finally Watched... Unbreakable
Thursday Apr 21, 2022
Thursday Apr 21, 2022
We are so sad to hear Bruce Willis retiring from acting, he has had such a great career and now we feel a little bad about making fun of some of his role choices over the past few years, HOWEVER in honor of him we are looking back at one of the best of his career and M. Night Shyamalan's, Unbreakable (2000). We appreciate a good hero origin story and Shyamalan created such an original concept with the roots being a father/son relationship, how can you not love it!
Thursday Apr 14, 2022
Ep. 121 | I Finally Watched... Dog Day Afternoon
Thursday Apr 14, 2022
Thursday Apr 14, 2022
Al Pacino's film Dog Day Afternoon (1975) is such a strange film mad stranger on the fact it is based on a true story! And while Pacino brings charisma to the role, the real life dude is not so charming! Directed by Sidney Lumet, same director as 12 Angrey Men and Serpico
Thursday Apr 07, 2022
Ep. 120 | I Finally Watched... Extract
Thursday Apr 07, 2022
Thursday Apr 07, 2022
Extract (2009) is one of those smaller films, that might not get many accolades, however it is underrated and deserves a little more attention than it gets.
The owner of a factory that produces flavor extracts, Joel Reynold (Jason Bateman) seems to have it all, but really doesn't. What's missing is sexual attention from his wife, Suzie (Kristen Wiig). Joel hatches a convoluted plan to get Suzie to cheat on him, thereby clearing the way for Joel to have an affair with Cindy (Mila Kunis), an employee. But what Joel doesn't know is that Cindy is a sociopathic con artist, and a freak workplace accident clears the way for her to ruin Joel forever.

Ep. 119 | I Finally Watched... Kicking And Screaming
Friday Apr 01, 2022
Friday Apr 01, 2022
Will Ferrell coaches his son's soccer team... and this is NOT the movie we watched and reviewed! APRIL FOOLS! We, in fact, reviewed the 1995 Noah Baumbach film, Kicking & Screaming starring Josh Hamilton and we hope you enjoy a little pretense in your movie critics! Thank you!
Thursday Mar 24, 2022
Ep. 118 | I Finally Watched...Kingdom Of Heaven
Thursday Mar 24, 2022
Thursday Mar 24, 2022
Our final film for kingdom month, Kingdom of Heaven (2005) might be Ridley Scott's best movie to date, however many people might never know that since that statement is only true for The Director's Cut and its so hard to find! Orlando Bloom stars as a blacksmith rescuing a woman above his status once again in Pirates of- I mean, Kingdom of Heaven.
Thursday Mar 17, 2022
Ep. 117 | I Finally Watched... Moonrise Kingdom
Thursday Mar 17, 2022
Thursday Mar 17, 2022
Another kingdom film incoming with, Moonrise Kingdom (2012), our third Wes Anderson for the podcast and most definitely not our last! We found this movie absolutely charming and surprising. An interestingly paced movie that was a good break between our more violent films we reviewed this month. Starring Bruce Willis, Edward Norton, Bill Murray, Tilda Swinton, and Frances McDormand
Thursday Mar 10, 2022
Ep. 116 | I Finally Watched... Animal Kingdom

Continuing our kingdom craze, we watched Animal Kingdom (2010) a Neo-noir Australian crime drama that is about a family as brutal as a pride of lions. Starring Ben Mendelsohn, Jacki Weaver, Guy Pearce, Joel Edgerton, and James Frecheville
Thursday Mar 03, 2022
Ep. 115 | I Finally Watched... The Kingdom
Thursday Mar 03, 2022
Thursday Mar 03, 2022
It's March and we decided, for no particular reason at all, to review four films all with the word KINGDOM in the title! And what better way of starting off is with The Kingdom (2007) starring Jamie Foxx, Chris Cooper, Jennifer Garner, Jason Bateman and Ashraf Barhom. Directed by Peter Berg!
Thursday Feb 24, 2022
Ep. 114 | I Finally Watched... Friday Night Lights
Thursday Feb 24, 2022
Thursday Feb 24, 2022
Football Football Football! Watching the entire television showing and this movie, I can safely say the show is better, however Friday Night Lights (2004) does have it's merits and like the show, it has clear eyes, full hearts and it can not lose! Starring Billy Bob Thornton, Connie Britton, Lucas Black, Derek Luke, and Tim McGraw. Directed by Peter Berg
Thursday Feb 17, 2022
Ep. 113 | I Finally Watched... Along Came Polly
Thursday Feb 17, 2022
Thursday Feb 17, 2022
Alain did not enjoy this movie when he first saw it along time ago, however that is because he was too young to appreciate the intricacy of Philip Seymour Hoffman's comedic acting. Along Came Polly (2004) stars Ben Stiller, Jennifer Aniston, and Alec Baldwin. Definitely on the lower end of all these actor's careers
Thursday Feb 10, 2022
Ep. 112 | I Finally Watched... A Time To Kill
Thursday Feb 10, 2022
Thursday Feb 10, 2022
Disclaimer: This episode of IFW contains discussions of sexual assault and socio-racial politics*
Right or wrong? Justice or vengeance? Thematically A Time To Kill (1996) is a great movie that gives you a lot to think about, but let's get real... those dudes deserved what they got. Starring Matthew McConaughey, Samuel L. Jackson, Sandra Bullock, Oliver Platt. Directed by Joel Schumacher
Wednesday Feb 02, 2022
Ep. 111 | I Finally Watched... The Outsiders
Wednesday Feb 02, 2022
Wednesday Feb 02, 2022
Back when Tom Cruise, C. Thomas Howell, Ralph Macchio, Emilio Estevez and Rob Lowe were a bunch of nobodies, they all starred in the film, The Outsiders (1983) Patrick Swayze, Diane Lane, and Matt Dillon was there too! The Outsiders is basically what you get when you take the story of Grease and mix it with the tine of Stand By Me. Directed by Francis Ford Coppola because a bunch of grade schoolers told him too!
Thursday Jan 27, 2022
Ep. 110 | I Finally Watched... Behind Enemy Lines
Thursday Jan 27, 2022
Thursday Jan 27, 2022
When you think of Owen Wilson, you might not immediately think "action hero" but he plays the hell out of one in Behind Enemy Lines (2001) A man with the odds stacked against him is helped by Gene Hackman! Great war film and overall intense movie!
Thursday Jan 20, 2022
Ep. 109 | I Finally Watched...The Bodyguard
Thursday Jan 20, 2022
Thursday Jan 20, 2022
In my case The Bodyguard (1992) is one of those films you sit down and watch with your mom and know very little as to what is going on, and the older I got the more I could appreciate this Whitney Houston and Kevin Costner classic! AND I WILL ALWAYS LOVE this movie!
Thursday Jan 13, 2022
Ep. 108 | I Finally Watched... Blade
Thursday Jan 13, 2022
Thursday Jan 13, 2022
We don't cover many super hero movies here at I Finally Watched... However, we feel like Blade (1998) is an exception. A revolutionary film for its time, fans of the hero will be glad to know we gave it a good rating with minor issues in plot, CGI effects, and villain, but other than those things it was a butt-load of fun! Starring Wesley Snipes, Kris Kristofferson, Donal Logue, and the lead singer of your favorite emo band, Stephen Dorff
Thursday Jan 06, 2022
Ep. 107 | I Finally Watched... Moonstruck
Thursday Jan 06, 2022
Thursday Jan 06, 2022
Moonstruck (1987) stars Cher and Nicolas Cage and for the most part it's a normal rom com, except Nic Cage is doing a little something different than everyone else... and its wonderful and weird! HE HAS HIS HAND! HE HAS HIS BRIDE!

Ep. 106 | I Finally Watched... The Rundown
Thursday Dec 30, 2021
Thursday Dec 30, 2021
The Rundown (2003) is the type of movie why we started I Finally Watched... A childhood film that only one of us had seen, that might or might not have stood up to the test of time. Well this film starring Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, Seann William Scott, Rosario Dawson, and Christopher Walken sure does, kinda, in a way!
Thursday Dec 23, 2021

Thursday Dec 23, 2021
Thursday Dec 23, 2021
We always do a holiday movie around this time of year and what better holiday movie than Lethal Weapon (1987) Directed by Richard Donner and written by Shane Black, who has a knack for writing action packed films around the holiday season. Lethal Weapon is as Christmas as Christmas movies come and we love it! Starring Mel Gibson, Danny Glover, and Gary Busey! Don't be too old for this shit and listen to our 105th episode!
Thursday Dec 16, 2021

Thursday Dec 16, 2021
Thursday Dec 16, 2021
This ain't your mother's Steel Magnolias, but this is Paul Thomas Anderson's Magnolia (1999) Starring a rock hard Tom Cruise, a sympathetic Philip Seymour Hoffman, a frightened William H. Macy and many many more! For a 3 hour film it goes by pretty fast!

Ep. 103 | I Finally Watched... The Darjeeling Limited
Thursday Dec 02, 2021
Thursday Dec 02, 2021
The Darjeeling Limited (2007) A year after their father's funeral, three brothers travel across India by train in an attempt to bond with each other. With a star studded cast (Jason Schwartzman, Owen Wilson, and Adrien Brody, and Bill Murray who is possibly the father??) How did this become Wes Anderson's least successful film?! We loved it! Will you?? This is also our first sponsored episode, THANK YOU PODBEAN!
Thursday Nov 25, 2021
Ep. 102 | I Finally Watched... Punch-Drunk Love
Thursday Nov 25, 2021
Thursday Nov 25, 2021
This is a weird one and by Paul Thomas Anderson standards, that's saying something! You really like Adam Sandler in this and everyone in the cast does an amazing job. This is one to watch for sure (It'll make you feel uncomfortable) Starring; Adam Sandler, Emily Watson, and Philip Seymour Hoffman.
Thursday Nov 18, 2021
Ep. 101 | I Finally Watched... Rushmore
Thursday Nov 18, 2021
Thursday Nov 18, 2021
Kicking off our Anderson run with Wes Anderson's Rushmore (1998) A very dense film for an hour and a half long film. You get the quirkiness of Wes Anderson but not at his highest level... Oh and this was also written by Owen Wilson... oh wow!

Our 99th episode consists of us going back and forth arguing about the logical or illogical way how someone would handle a psychopath dressing up as his deceased mom and murder you... how would you handle it? Psycho (1960) is an oldie but a goodie! We love Alfred Hitchcock! Starring Anthony Perkins and Janet Leigh!

Ep. 97 | I Finally Watched... Hereditary
Thursday Oct 21, 2021

Ari Aster has a very unusual way of creating a horror story... that being said, Hereditary (2018) freaked us both out in ways we'd rather not discuss... but we do and you can listen now! Starring Toni Collette, Milly Shapiro, and Alex Wolff.
Thursday Oct 14, 2021

Thursday Oct 14, 2021
Thursday Oct 14, 2021
John Carpenter's The Thing (1982) is about as classic horror movie you can get and what really makes this film stand out is that it's so incredibly hard to follow (purposely so) Such a cool concept for a movie and we had a blast analyzing the hell out of it! Ep. 91 | I Finally Watched... The Losers
Thursday Sep 09, 2021
Thursday Sep 09, 2021
It's sad how The Losers never got a sequel. This high action, comic book adaptation film has an all star cast; including, Idris Elba, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Zoe Saldana, and Chris Evans. However, since this film was made in 2010, it's before any of them really reached super stardom. While this movie flopped at the box office, we really did enjoy The Losers!
