I Finally Watched...

Going back to our indie roots, we watched and reviewed Beginners, an Ewan McGregor and the late Christopher Plummer film. Beautifully crafted, it was an unexpected treasure that we loved dearly.

Rounding out the final part to our Ocean trilogy, Ocean's Thirteen! We bring in Ashley, David's wife, for her debut here at I Finally Watched... And Taylor comes back for us to have the full team to talk about this awesome film!

Our first animated film and of course it's an anime... Thanks Alain. Lets see if this awakens Davids inner desire for the anime life?! Spoilers: It doesn't.

Alain finally watched Hanna, a film about a girl that kicks ass, especially kicks Cate Blanchett's ass! Starring Saoirse Ronan, Eric Bana, and Cate Blanchett

At it's core this is a movie about FAMILY... But don't worry we cover the porn stuff too! Starring Mark Wahlberg, Julianne Moore, and Burt Reynolds

Alain's dislike for Maya Rudolf might be challenged in this film starring John Krasinski and directed by Sam Mendes. All in all though, Away We Go is a great movie!

Hold on to your seats and your faces, this is one crazy insane film review you do not want to miss! We discuss the Nicholas Cage and John Travolta movie, Face/Off!

Not to be confused with The Untouchables, this French film is one of the best French films ever made! Don't believe me? Ask IMDB, Canada, and the French, but don't ask American critics... they just didn't like it. BUT WE DID!!!

One of Alain's favorite Inside Llewyn Davis is about a folk singer, Llewyn Davis, at a crossroads. Guitar in hand, he struggles against seemingly insurmountable obstacles to make a name for himself in the music world, but so far, success remains elusive. Episode 50! A film that shoots out approximately 1.2 f-bombs a minute might be responsible for why this might be our most cursed out podcast yet! A dark, dry, and hilarious film... We finally watched... In Bruges. Starring Colin Farrell, Brendan Gleeson, Clémence Poésy and Ralph Fiennes.

Wind River might be the newest film the I Finally Watched Team has reviewed, but it definitely has one of the more intense film endings of any movie we've reviewed. Jeremy Renner and Elizabeth Olsen star in this intense murder mystery.

Yippee Ki Yay Motherf*cker! Alain has seen this film over a dozen times, but how in the world has this film gone under David's radar for so long?! He knows all the lines, all the major plot points, but now he gets to experience the small details that make Die Hard one of the best action films around. Oh! Did I mention its a Christmas movie!

Who doesn't love a good George Clooney film?! Alain has never seen The Descendants... so here's our review of The Descendants! A movie about love and loss and good portrayal of the way people deal with all of it.

This film brought out mixed feeling among the I Finally Watched crew, where we ourselves reminisce about our school days. Starring Robin Williams, Ethan Hawke, and Robert Sean Leonard, Dead Poets Society is a classic 80's film, but does it hold up?

I DRINK YOUR MILKSHAKE! One of the best lines from one of the best films! But not The Master because that's still better according to Alain, who for the first time finally watched There Will Be Blood. Starring Daniel Day-Lewis and Paul Dano.

Here at I Finally Watched... we love Denis Villeneuve films and Prisoners is one of his best! We even got a featured guest to talk about it with us! Starring Jake Gyllenhaal, Hugh Jackman, and Paul Dano.

Known as the greatest movie ever made, David and Alain both figure it's time for them to finally watch, Citizen Kane... it's pretty good. Starring Orson Welles and The Mercury Theatre Troupe.

For a Never-ending Story, this movie is only an hour and a half! David never had a childhood where he saw this film...SAD! Starring Noah Hathaway, this magical story is one of Alain's childhood staples and made him terrified of drowning in swamps!

After Alain and David have watched The Room, they thought the next step would be to show David, The Disaster Artist. A behind the scenes biopic about Tommy Wiseau, Greg Sestero, and the making of The Room. Starring James Franco, Dave Franco, and Seth Rogan

When two hunters are tasked to protect a construction site from two lions in Africa, the will of John Patterson, a bridge builder, is tested. This description does not do this movie justice and continuing with our Nostalgia November, this is a classic from David's childhood. Alain experiences this epic for the first time and enjoys it greatly. Starring a young Val Kilmer and a semi-old Michael Douglas.

Stanley Kubrick's satirical masterpiece, Dr. Strangelove is a film that David has never seen and Alain is not the biggest fan of. However, David's friend Joey has seen it and I don't think you could find a bigger fan of this film. Starring Peter Sellers, Peter Sellers, and Peter Sellers.

A film that Alain was pretty sure up til now he was the only one who's seen it. David recalls his run in with this film, but has never bothered to watch it! From the guy who brought you Ghostbusters and Space Jam; second film for Nostalgia November Thursdays, Evolution stars David Duchovny, Orlando Jones, Julianne Moore, and Seann William Scott.

Another Noah Baumbach! One of David's favorite but Alain thinks its one of his minor works. Maybe Alain changes his mind by the end of this conversation. Starring Greta Gerwig and Adam Driver.

This month on I Finally Watched, every Thursday we are coming out with an episode about a film from our childhood. Nostalgia November kicks off with My Fellow Americans, a satirical comedy with a mystery twist on the genre is a favorite from David's childhood. Starring James Garner, Jack Lemmon, Dan Aykroyd. 

Another Noah Baumbach film in the can. The Meyerowitz Stories is Alain's favorite Baumbach movie. Let's see if David likes it too. Ben Stiller, Adam Sandler, Dustin Hoffman and, of course... Adam Driver star in this family fueled drama. 

Our 31st episode lands on our last episode of our #SpookySeason month, with, Halloween (1978). Neither of us has seen the original and it was a great way to end our horror movie month! We take a deep plunge into the Michael Myers lore and what we liked and disliked about the film.

David finally watches Nightcrawler (not the X-men hero) one of Alain's favorite 2014 films, which is saying something because 2014 was a great year for film! Starring Jake Gyllenhaal, Rene Russo, and Riz Ahmed
